A Simpler Path Toward Supporting the Body Well
Helping you understand what your body may be communicating and how to support it through nutrition, lifestyle rhythms, and sustainable habits.
Many people come to me after trying different diets, supplements, or health approaches and still feeling unsure about what their body may need.
Often there is a sense that something deeper may be contributing to the symptoms they are experiencing, but it can be difficult to know where to begin.
My approach focuses on helping clients better understand what their body may be communicating and supporting it through thoughtful nutrition, sustainable lifestyle rhythms, and practical changes that reduce unnecessary stress on the body.
Rather than quick fixes, our work together focuses on building understanding, patience, and sustainable habits that allow the body time to respond.
Guiding Principles
The work I do with clients is guided by a few core principles that shape how I think about health, the body, and the journey toward restoring balance.
God Designed the Body with Wisdom
I believe the body is created with remarkable wisdom and the ability to respond when it is supported well. God’s design provides the foundation for how we approach nourishment, lifestyle, and wellness.
Lasting Health Begins with Sustainable Change
True wellness is rarely found in quick fixes. My work focuses on helping clients build practical, sustainable lifestyle habits that support the body over time.
Gut Health Often Plays a Central Role
The digestive system influences many areas of health, including metabolism, immune function, inflammation, mood, and energy. Supporting gut health is often an important step in restoring balance throughout the body.
The Body Needs Time to Respond
Restoring balance is a process. By reducing unnecessary stressors and supporting the body through thoughtful nutrition and lifestyle rhythms, we allow the body time to stabilize and respond.
Faith Can Be Part of the Journey
For clients who desire it, our work together may include faith-centered encouragement and spiritual reflection as we walk through the health journey together.
How the Process Often Begins
While every person’s health journey is unique, our work together often begins by focusing on the foundations that support the body well.
This may include supporting: nourishment, hydration, sleep rhythms, blood sugar balance, movement, and digestion while exploring possible stressors that may be contributing to symptoms.
In some situations, a carefully guided elimination diet may also be helpful in identifying foods that could be contributing to inflammation or digestive distress.
When recommended by a licensed healthcare professional, or when appropriate based on an individual’s health history, I can help guide clients through a thoughtful and personalized elimination and reintroduction process. This allows us to observe how the body responds to specific foods while slowly and gently reintroducing them in a way that supports understanding rather than fear around food.
Because every individual is different, this approach is not necessary for everyone, but when used appropriately it can be a helpful tool in understanding how the body responds to certain foods.
As the body begins to stabilize, we may also explore how lifestyle patterns or environmental factors could be influencing how the body is responding. Throughout this process we allow the body time to respond while building sustainable habits that support long-term wellness.
From overcoming fear around food to building healthier habits for the whole family, many clients begin to see lasting change as they better understand what their body may need.

She’s not just a gut coach—she’s a life-changer”
When Deeper Clinical Insight May Be Helpful
Partnering with Functional Medicine Practitioners
In some situations, however, deeper clinical insight may be helpful in understanding what the body may need.
When appropriate, I may recommend partnering with a functional medicine practitioner who can provide medical oversight and advanced testing. This type of evaluation can help explore areas such as digestive health, microbial balance, metabolic health, nutrient status, hormone balance, or environmental stressors that may be influencing how the body is responding.
Working in collaboration allows clients to benefit from both clinical insight and ongoing lifestyle support.
While the practitioner focuses on medical evaluation and testing, I continue guiding the nutrition, lifestyle, and behavior changes that support the body’s ability to respond.
Together, this collaborative approach can provide a more complete picture and help guide the next steps in supporting the body well.

“All Disease Begins in the Gut”
Because of this, I do not believe there is one diet or approach that works for everyone. What may be supportive for one person may not be the right approach for another.
In some situations, deeper clinical insight may be helpful in identifying possible triggers or underlying imbalances that could be contributing to symptoms.
One tool that may be used is an integrative GI-MAP stool test, which helps evaluate digestive health and microbial balance within the gut.
Through my training in GI-MAP interpretation, I help clients better understand their results, how those findings may correlate with their symptoms, and what supportive nutrition and lifestyle steps may be helpful moving forward.
When testing indicates that targeted gut support may be beneficial, a more structured restoration process may be used to support digestion, microbial balance, and the integrity of the gut lining.
This process is always guided by a functional medicine practitioner oversight and is tailored to the individual.
My Gut Restoration Process
Every individual’s health journey is unique, and each person may be at a different stage in understanding what their body may need.
Begin A Gut Restoring Journey Unique to You
Three Gut Restoring Phases:
When testing indicates that targeted gut support may be beneficial, a more structured restoration process may be used to support digestion, microbial balance, and the integrity of the gut lining.
While each plan is personalized, this process often follows three general phases that help guide the body toward restoring balance.
Phase 1 — Remove & Regulate
The first step focuses on addressing potential microbial imbalances that may be contributing to symptoms. This may include supporting the body in reducing harmful bacteria, yeast, or parasites while also helping regulate digestion and reduce unnecessary stress on the gut.
During this phase, nutrition and lifestyle support play an important role in helping calm inflammation and create an environment that allows the body to respond well.
Phase 2 — Reinoculate
Once potential imbalances have been addressed, the focus shifts toward supporting beneficial bacteria and improving microbial balance within the digestive system.
This may include introducing supportive foods, prebiotics, probiotics, and lifestyle practices that help encourage a healthier gut environment.
Phase 3 — Repair & Rebuild
The final phase focuses on supporting the integrity of the gut lining and strengthening digestive resilience.
Through thoughtful nutrition, lifestyle rhythms, and targeted support when appropriate, the goal is to help the digestive system function more effectively and maintain balance over time.
Bonus- Re-Testing sometimes this is needed, detoxing of mold, heavy metals, detoxing the Liver
Throughout this process, nutrition and lifestyle habits remain essential in helping the body respond and maintain long-term wellness.
Because every individual is different, this approach is always personalized and adjusted based on how the body responds along the journey.

Client Reflections
"When I first began meeting with Alma I was desperately searching for answers and help to this ongoing and progressively worsening abdominal pain. I was discouraged, stuck in a cycle of bad habits, physically sick and fearful of what my future would hold. I went to her for answers but what I got was much more valuable. I learned about my gut, I learned how to manage my stress, I learned how to overcome mental barriers, and I learned how to feed my body, my mind, and my spirit what it needed. Long story short I came for a quick fix but I am happy to say I’m leaving with a long term solution.
Alma is not just a gut coach, she is a full blown life changer. I have worked with many different people in health and wellness but Alma was different. She listened to me. She was kind and patient with me. She used the Lord’s discernment and was led by the Holy Spirit to determine the best possible plan for me. At the time I met Alma I had a real fear of food. My diet was limited and it was not nutritional, I stuck to foods I knew wouldn’t cause the pain but in the long run were actually hurting me even more. I was scared to try new things. I was not able to fully live my life. Not only is Alma Holy Spirit led, but she is one of the most knowledgeable people on nutrition, gut, and overall health and wellness.
Throughout our time together I lost 45 pounds, which is absolutely incredible, but I am more overjoyed about what I have gained. I have gained my life back. I have gained a lifestyle that I never imagined I could live. I gained energy. Mindfulness. Confidence. Freedom. I gained hope for my future. I gained knowledge to pass on to my children. My lifestyle changes have and will continue to affect my children and my family. We are better, happier and healthier as a family because of the time I spent with Alma. I am forever grateful. The best thing I will take away from this experience is to trust the process. I did not imagine that I could be someone who had a healthy relationship with food, who took care of themself. I so wanted to be that for my children and for myself but I didn’t know how and it felt like it was too much for me.
With the help of Alma and the Lord I have broken a generational cycle of bad eating habits and poor health. Today, I am walking in freedom from chronic pain, inflammation, stomach pain and fear of food. I am empowered and I couldn’t have done it without the patience, guidance, and love of Alma.
Thank you Alma for being a servant of the Lord. Thank you for showing me a different way to live and thank you for being an advocate for healthy living.”
We love you so much,
